Bus Travel Expections

  • Wait Safely - Students are expected to wait safely at bus stops, standing well back from the road and behaving sensibly while waiting for the bus.

  • Respect Others - Students must treat the bus driver, other passengers, and members of the public with respect and follow the driver’s instructions at all times.

  • Represent the School Well - Bus travel is an extension of the school day. Students are expected to behave in a way that positively represents the school while travelling to and from school.

  • Stay Seated and Use Seatbelts - Students must remain seated with seatbelts fastened until the bus has come to a complete stop at their destination.

  • Appropriate Behaviour - Verbal or physical teasing, rough play, or any behaviour that may cause harm or discomfort to others is not permitted.

  • Care for the Bus - Students must not damage the bus interior or exterior, including seats, and must not throw objects inside or outside the bus. Any damage may result in financial responsibility.

  • Food, Drink, and Technology - Only water may be consumed on the bus. No other food, drink, or chewing gum is permitted. Headphones must be used when accessing personal devices, and content must be appropriate.

  • Personal Belongings - Students are responsible for taking all personal belongings with them when exiting the bus.

  • Exiting Safely - After leaving the bus, students should move well clear of the vehicle and must not cross the road until it is safe to do so.

Bus travel is an extension of the school day and students are expected to behave in a way that positively represents the school while travelling to and from school. Failure to follow these expectations may result in consequences, including the loss of bus travel privileges.
