Contextual Information

Our our school continues to be a vibrant and positive learning environment, deeply rooted in Jesus-centred holistic education.

Nestled in the picturesque Perth Hills, our beautiful campus offers an inspiring setting, just 27 kilometers from the centre of Perth. This unique location provides the best of both worlds: a peaceful learning environment with easy access to city opportunities.

Our students come from all over the Perth, with many utilising our convenient bus services that extends throughout the metropolitan regions including Armadale, Belmont, Canning, Cockburn, Gosnells, Kalamunda, Swan, Wanneroo, Serpentine-Jarrahdale and Victoria Park. Adding to our vibrant community is our multicultural boarding house, which provides a “home away from home” for students from rural, remote, and interstate areas.

We welcome families from all backgrounds who are seeking a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their children. Our families support the values of our school, with over 60% of our families having a Christian faith. We celebrate the linguistic richness within our community, with a total of 25 different languages being spoken across homes.

As a co-educational school, we have a healthy balance of female and male students and provide an equitable learning environment for all. Our school's ICSEA value of 1029 indicates that we serve a community with an educational advantage slightly above the national average (where the average is 1000).

Student Attendance

Secondary class rolls are marked at the beginning of each period and records of attendance and absences are recorded in the school’s student database (SEQTA).

Parents/guardians are requested to contact the school if their child will not be in attendance for that day.

Written communication from parents is requested as it is essential in maintaining accurate records of attendance.

For students who are absent, parents/guardians are notified by Reception (by 10:30am) on that day.

School Satisfication

Parent, student and teacher satisfaction with the school is measured each year with Insight SRC’s School Improvement Survey.

119 students, 22 parents and 20 staff members shared their perceptions, giving the following scores for each category:

Personal Christian Practice: 81.4

School Christian Culture: 84.6

Organisational Climate: 70.9

Teaching Climate: 72.9

Student Wellbeing: 61.8

Results from the surveys are used to stimulate further investigation, which drives our school improvement plan. In 2025 the two key focus areas will be developing our pastoral care program (addressing low student wellbeing) and implementing our teaching and learning framework (to build our teaching climate).
